Abstract

Accurate simulation is of significant importance for the design of radio frequency proximity sensor testing. Traditional radio frequency proximity sensor simulation methods rely on two-dimensional trajectory fitting for static and dynamic scenarios, which lack three-dimensional information, often resulting in less than ideal accuracy in simulating the changing characteristics of surface target echo signals. This paper, integrating modern graphics theory, proposes a simulation method that utilizes rendering for radio frequency proximity sensor simulation. Using the Unity engine as a platform, it constructs three-dimensional static and dynamic simulation experimental scenarios for radio frequency proximity sensors. By constraining parameters such as target surface characteristics, the relative position of the radio frequency proximity sensor antenna, and angular relationships, it obtains typical simulation results of radio frequency proximity sensor surface echo strength. The simulation scenario was replicated in a microwave anechoic chamber, and the experimental results show that the correlation coefficient between the signal obtained from Unity simulation and the experimental echo signal is 0.9902, significantly improving the accuracy of echo signal simulation. This provides a new technical approach for achieving precise echo simulation and test design for radio frequency proximity sensors.
