Adaptive Symbol Detection and Branch Pruning MLSE for Quatrobinary Shaping FTN WDM System

摘要

In this paper, a pilot-aided adaptive symbol detection scheme (PA-SDS) with adaptive branch pruning maximum likelihood sequence estimation (ABP-MLSE) is proposed. For 70 GBaud QPSK signals in a 50 GHz FTN WDM system, the computational complexity of this algorithm is reduced to 23.91% of the original while maintaining comparable bit error rate (BER) performance.
