摘要

Titanium alloys have found extensive applications in aerospace, marine transportation, and metallurgical industries owing to their outstanding specific strength, thermal stability, and biocompatibility. In Al-containing refractory multi-principal element alloys, the tendency to form BCC+B2 dual-phase structures often leads to compromised mechanical properties, as the ordered B2 phase precipitates typically exhibit poor room-temperature ductility, which significantly limits their practical utility. In this investigation, considering the propensity of as-cast alloys to develop casting defects such as shrinkage porosity and gas pores, along with the pronounced sensitivity of B2 phase formation to heat treatment parameters, we utilized hot isostatic pressing (HIP) to process the as-cast alloy. A comprehensive analysis was performed to compare the microstructural evolution and mechanical properties between pre- and post-HIP treatment conditions. Remarkably, the HIP treatment induced a morphological transition of precipitates from cuboidal to ellipsoidal shapes, while simultaneously enhancing both strength and ductility by 185% and 67%, respectively.
